FAIRFIELD PLANTATION
FIRE RESCUE
Fairfield Plantation Fire Department was established in 1972 as a State Certified Fire Department completely operated by volunteer firefighters. In the past 50 years, the department has evolved into Fairfield Plantation Fire Rescue and currently runs 500 to 600 calls annually, ranging from customer service calls, to vehicle lock outs, to structure fires and life threatening emergencies.
Fairfield Plantation Fire Rescue is formed from a very dedicated and hard-working team of professionals constantly striving to improve in their fields. Lead by Fire Chief Sam Hyde, the department has further enhanced services to our community over the years and has added paid full-time firefighters to staff one of our fire stations 24 hours a day, every day of the year, with our volunteers continuing to staff our other fire station. As a combined-staff fire department, our personnel staff an engine pumper, a reserve pumper, and a light rescue truck.
