Outdoor BurningCarroll County falls under the Georgia outdoor burning rules set forth by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division and is enforced by the Georgia Forestry Commission. Fairfield Plantation POA does not allow outdoor burning under the rules set forth by the state by only obtaining an outdoor burn permit from the Forestry Commission. Outdoor burning inside Fairfield Plantation is regulated by the POA Rules and Regulations for Property Owners. Outdoor burning is only permitted by the POA when it’s done inside a constructed outdoor fireplace or fire pit. All outdoor fireplaces and fire pits over ten square feet must be preapproved by the Committee.
POA Rules and Regulations for Property Owners 3.5.4.3 Outside Burning No open burning of landscape debris or leaves is allowed at any time. Bonfires are not allowed. Outside fireplaces and/or fire pits greater than ten (10) square feet must be designed to prevent the escape of sparks and/or embers. They must be approved by the Committee.
